This is a super fun family and I just so happen to be lucky enough to have know the mom and dad since high school.

Yes, Morgan did give me a salt coverd donut and passed it off as a sugar donut. Yes, I did eat it thinking he was being really nice. Yes, I did realize that he was totally full of it and I am pretty sure he got punched in his arm by me.

I took a roadtrip from California to Utah with Cascia and all we had was a battery powered CD player to listen to. When we were stuck in traffic I might have gotten out of the car and started jogging in place next to the car in front of us so they would feel like they were actually moving. I think Casica kept pretending to be asleep so she could get off the hook from driving.

If you couldn't tell, I have had tons of laughs with these two and think that they are wonderful!

I was just practicing a little technique that I learned in photoshop. All drawings are done by myself with inspiration from Vol.25 (her work is amazing). I can't wait to get creative with some more doodles. And can we add how wonderful Ellie is!! She is always so cooperative when I need her to be my little model.

We are heading out today for the holidays but before we did I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!! Thank you to everyone who has loved, helped and supported our family this year. We couldn't have made it through without you.

Now, it is off for a 11 hour drive...thankfully I have a two screen DVD player, lots of snacks and drinks, the wonderful conversation of my hubby and my new Glee CD.

My in-laws are so sweet and cute and wonderful and...well...I am just lucky to have them. I love that they are still so much in love. Taking pictures of them is so natural because they just cozy right on up to each other and look so happy and I just get to stand there are snap away. I just love these pictures and the story that they tell...two people happy and in love!

There is no way this little miss was going to let me take pictures of her Papa and Grandma and not be allowed to tag along.

And then the snow came, but I just love the cozy feel that it brought to the last couple of pictures. Perfect!

I love this family!!

I still can't believe that I meet Emilie (the cute mommy) when she was in high school. We both worked at Pizza Factory together...she was just a senior in high school and I newly engaged, and now look at us. Eight years later...both married with two little girls....time flies!! My husband and I have so many wonderful memories with Todd and Emilie as we were both young, newly married couples...we just love them (like I already said :)

Also, can I just take everyone down memory lane again...about a year and a half ago...my second photo shoot as a "professional" photographer...Claire. I can't believe how much she has grown since then and how much I have grown as a photographer. Wow!!

So...I asked my cute hubby Josh if he would quickly take a picture of me. I set the camera settings and told him what I was wanting, and he produced the above pictures. I was very impressed with his skills! :) He always surprises me with what he can do...I am very lucky!

My girls - the wild woman and the sweet romantic.

My mother in law got these adorable skirts for my little girls at Swiss Days. When I saw them I immediatly thought of the fields of sunflowers that are around our house. I knew I had to get my girlies looking all sweet, in the sunflowers, with the sun setting, in their little skirts.

I just had to point everyone in the direction of Mandy Lynne and her amazing photography. I discovered her blog a few weeks ago and I have never been so immediately inspired by someones talent, creativity and eye for capturing beauty. I have looked through her blog and website millions of times and everytime leave feeling the desire to be a better photographer.
This morning I checked on my photography blog, and literally was taken back when I saw that Mandy herself had left me, little old me, a comment complimenting my work. It brought a tear to my eye (no joke) and I am still spinning knowing that someone as amazing as her, took the time out of her schedule to even give my work a second glance. Is this family not the cutest? I am so glad that I was able to photograph them right before I left Sacramento because they were an absolute joy. Their cute little toddler, Bronson, was one of the best little kids I have ever taken pictures of - he was so well behaved and gave me perfect little smiles.

Well...I think the title of the post pretty much sums it up - we have moved back to Utah. Josh got accepted to transfer to the BYU law school so we couldn't pass up the opportunity. I have known this family since I was a little young woman, so I was very excited when they asked my to take their family pictures. It had been years (like 10) since I had seen them last, so of course lots had changed. It was fun to catch up and see what everyone was up too. I have to thank Ashley for finding this great spot. They only time that worked for the shoot was dead in the middle of the afternoon with the sun and heat blaring. Luckily, she found a great (shaded) spot that saved my sanity. This is my dear friend Kenz and her cute little family. Kenz and I have been friends for a very long time and were even roomates in college. We have spent a lot of those great moments in life together and her friendship has always been so special to me. Although the heat was at record highs the day that we took these pictures, all of these kiddos did a really great job and totally hung in there until we got all of out shots. I have to thank my sister Brianne for helping out and allowing me to get great shots like the one above - it is not easy to get five kids and a dog to look at the camera. Joanna, I hope that you enjoy these, I know it was a little crazy, but by the looks of these pictures, I think it was sooooo worth it :)

Can I just add that Joanna totally has it going on...5 kids which include a set of twins, and look at her...beautiful!!

This is my sweet friend from high school and her beautiful little girl, Kiera. I haven't seen Charrise in like 10 years so it was so much fun to get together and do a super fun photo shoot. Of course we were dying laughing about all the crazy things we did in junior high and high school. I love getting reacquainted with friends and seeing how much has changed for all of us.
I loved this photo shoot and I loved capturing the relationship that this little mom and daughter team share. They have tons of fun together and it totally shows.

This little baby girl is #4 in a line of beautiful little girls. I think you can tell that she carries on that reputation of beauty flawlessly. Little Miss Lindsey was bright eyed for most of our shoot but by the end she got very comfy in her little basket and caught some ZZZZZ's. What a sweet little baby - I love newborns!!

I am on my way to Fresno tomorrow to visit, play, photography and........ shoot my very first wedding. I am very excited but I must admit a little nervous as well. I mean a WEDDING is a biggie!! No do-overs :) I can't wait to post all of the beautiful pictures.

...this was one of my favorite shoots. I love when I have the chance to take newborn pictures outdoors. You just can't put together a more beautiful combination - nature and newborns. Beautiful!! This little guy is so lucky - he has four older siblings that love and adore him.

What great luck. While we were doing some indoor pictures of Jaxton his Grandma stopped by and I was able to capture this beautiful picture of Jaxton, his mom and Grandma.

This picture was my favorite. Holli calls that little freckle on Josh's nose his "kiss from heaven". She really wanted to get a picture that showed off his cute freckle. I fell in love with this shot instantly and told Holli the only word that came to my mind to describe it was "heavenly".

This is my cute sister-in-law Holli and nephew Josh. Holli was so awesome to find this sweet location (red barn, concrete pillars, etc). I was very impressed with her creative eye. Not to mention, since I've left Utah she has continued to find great locations for my future shoots in Utah. Thanks Holli, you are awesome!! These pictures were so easy to take (beautiful people, beautiful location and great company). I hope you guys enjoy!!

side note: okay so I just started to upload my photos from photobucket so that I could post them bigger. I love the size but I hate that they look pixelated. If there is anyone reading this that could help me avoid this problem please help!!!

All I can say about these pictures are - GORGEOUS!! We had a change in locations last minute and I am so happy things worked out the way that they did. I just love the look of this open field...Love!! It was fun to catch up with the Jensen's and see their growing family. Misty, be prepared this is just the beginning of tons of beautiful pictures. I had so many good pictures I am going to break them up into a couple of posts. Keep checking in!! :)

I love this family! They have been so supportive of my photography and I soooo appreciate each and every one of them. When we were in Utah I was able to do this shoot and it was so fun to hang out with them. Ellie especially loved seeing her good friends Jordan and Parker. I just love the relaxed feel of these pictures - they totally reflect the nature of this family.

...you may recognize Emilee from this cute family. Her senior pictures were one of my first photo shoots. She is gorgeous and so sweet!
